Pick your TV or streaming box below. Each one tells you which app to install and how to sign in. You never have to type your password with the remote.
Before you start
Have your phone or computer nearby. You'll use it to sign the TV in with a 6-digit code.
Our pick (free): Jellyfin
The official Jellyfin app. Tested on our server.
- On the Roku home screen, go to Streaming Channels → Search Channels.
- Search for Jellyfin and choose Add channel.
- Open Jellyfin. For the server, enter
https://jellyfin.arctor.org. - Choose Quick Connect. The TV shows a 6-digit code.
- Approve the code from your phone, and the TV signs in.
Paid option
There isn't a paid app worth recommending on Roku. The free one is it.

- Open the Google Play Store on the TV and search for Jellyfin.
- Install Jellyfin for Android TV and open it.
- For the server, enter

The same app as Android TV, from the Amazon Appstore. Tested on our server.
- On the Fire TV home screen, go to Find → Search and type Jellyfin.
- Choose Get (it's free), then Open.

Official app from the App Store. Tested on our server.
- Open the App Store on the Apple TV and search for Swiftfin.
- Install it, open it, and add the server

A polished paid player many people like. Popular, not tested by us.

Works on Samsung TVs from 2021 or newer. If you try it, tell us in Discord how it went.
- Open the Apps store on the TV and search for Jellyfin.
- Install and open it, then enter

Older Samsung TV? Use a streaming stick (Roku, Fire TV or Google TV) instead.

Approve the code from your phone
Quick Connect lets the TV sign in without typing your password on the remote.
- On your phone or computer, open jellyfin.arctor.org and sign in with your username (not your email) and password.
- Tap your profile picture (top right), then Quick Connect.
- Type the 6-digit code from the TV and tap Authorize.
The TV signs in within a few seconds.
I don't know my password
Go to auth.arctor.org/reset on your phone or computer and follow the email. The TV apps don't have a Forgot Password button.
Vizio TV or PlayStation?
There's no Jellyfin app for these. On a Vizio, play from your phone and cast it to the TV. On a PlayStation, use another device for now.
